RED KITE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Oxfordshire

Join me on a workshop in the rolling hills of Oxfordshire to photograph the Red Kite, one of Britain’s great reintroduction success stories. We will take advantage of our elevated viewpoint to photograph these powerful raptors in flight with the beautiful backdrop of Oxfordshire.

What will you need?

Camera: Ideally a DSLR or Mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses.

Lenses: A focal length of at least 500mm (300mm APSC, 250mm M4/3).

Support: A tripod could be useful - you are more than welcome to use one of my tripods for the session.

Extra equipment: Spare batteries and extra SD cards.

Clothing: Warm layers & waterproof jacket, trousers and boots.

Workshop Cost: 1 to 1 £150, 1 to 2 £220 - also suitable for groups, please contact me if you’d like to discuss this.

Timings: The workshop will run from around midday for approximately 4 hours until sunset. I’d be happy to discuss other options if timings are unsuitable.

Dates: 15th January to 28th January 2024.

Parking: There is a car park on site with plenty of spaces.

Activity level: We’ll only be walking along 1km of a countryside path, however there will be some uneven ground and a few short ascents.

Other Species We May Encounter: Kestrel, Buzzard, Green Woodpecker, Fallow Deer
